Welcome once again to my photography blog, I appreciate you stopping by. This week I’m happy to post up photos of my visit to Bolton Abbey a few weeks ago during my weekend up north. In usual fashion I’d love you to leave any feedback in the comments boxes. Last week I managed to get 2 sets of comments, let’s see if we can beat that 🙂
Originally I had planned on visiting Fountains Abbey In Ripon, Yorkshire and had plugged it into my sat nav when I set off from my sister’s in Appley Bridge. The drive was stunning, well once I had come off the M6 and drove through the fantastic countryside. I recalled that we used to make that journey quite a lot when I was a nipper. I will definitely be going that way again as Pendle Hill is stunning, and there are so many beautiful landscape shots to be had.
I pulled over at one point in a place called East Marton and grabbed a couple of shots;
So as I was driving along on my way to Fountains Abbey I suddenly saw signs for Bolton Abbey. I’d seen some of Bolton Abbey thanks to a TV show called The Trip with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon so thought I may as well go there and save Fountains Abbey for a later date.
So without further ado I’m just going to post up the pics I took there and leave you to investigate further should you want to 🙂
The duck shot above was one of many shots I took of a couple of extremely friendly ducks that waddled around and swam on the River Wharfe.
No doubt there will be a few more pics of this humbling priory as I trawl back through my many photos again, but I hope you have enjoyed the ones I have posted up so far.
As always, prints can be ordered, either look at my photos for sale link or contact me directly and tell me which ones you like, what format and size you’re after.
Thanks gain and until next time, take care.
