Nine more photos

Hi there, remember me? 🙂 I know it’s been a few weeks since I last posted some photos, I hope you’re well?  This week I’ve nine more photos to post up, which I hope you like.

As usual from my nine more photos there are some new and some old. Starting with the old..

Hose Hill Lake

I took these almost a year ago to the day down at Hose Hill Lake, Burghfield. It was a beautiful day, the air was so crisp and clear, perfect for taking a photo or two. Oddly I passed over these pictures back then (sometimes I take so many that this is easily done 🙂 )

Barkham

Taken earlier this year – January to be precise – in Barkham, on the way to Wokingham. It was a wonderfully cold morning back then. I managed to grab a shot just as the sun was peeking over the hill. Perfect timing!

Nine more photos

Castle Combe

I still rate this place as one of the quaintest places I have ever visited. It’s a tine little village nestled somewhere in Wiltshire. The sky is edited to give a more interesting look, I want to go back on a better day…

Summer

…seems like a distant memory now. We did have a good one, didn’t we? I took this on my way back from Reading, along the River Kennet. It was a beautiful day and it was the first time I’d followed the river into town.

Nine more photos

Frosty Grazeley

And these last few were taken last week, about 8am as I was driving in to work. It was one of those clear and frosty mornings that I love so much.

Maya, Paddy and a robin

Hi there! Happy Wednesday, I trust you’re well and life is being good to you 🙂 This week I have a few photos of Maya, Paddy and a robin as well as a couple of left-over shots from when I went to Dinton Pastures a few weeks ago.

You’ll already know Maya, our Ridgie. Well we took a walk with friends of ours through a gorgeous place called Little London which is just on the outskirts of Silchester and Tadley, in Hampshire. Paddy is their dog, he’s a Wire Fox Terrier and is a proper handful of trouble, but he and Maya get on so well and love running, fighting and flirting with each other.

He really is as much trouble as he looks, bless him!

Up until a few weeks ago when I was wandering around Sulham Woods and photographed the Posing Robin I was not really too fussed about birds, but now it’s an area I want to get more proficient in. These 2 shots were taken from my bedroom window. They are a tad on the grainy side as I only have a 75-250mm lens and I had to zoom all the way in, then when I came to edit them I had to crop right into the image. Still, I think they came out pretty well, all things considered 🙂 What do you think?

The next few photos were taken in Chapel Row, a lovely little place in West Berkshire. There is a fantastic tree-lined road that leads straight into Chapel Row and a little open park where I spotted a trio of ducks waddling around in;

And, to finish, a few throw back shots of our walk around Dinton Pastures a few weeks ago…when I go out and about taking photos I always take loads. I’ll usually spend a little time editing a selection and post them up pretty much straight away. Then I’ll re-visit the album a few weeks later and usually more of them will leap out at me…

Thanks for taking the time out to look at the photos of Maya, Paddy and a robin, I hope you like them. I’m always happy to hear your thoughts on them so please leave your thoughts and comments in the blank boxes below 🙂

Prints are also available to buy, just click here for a selection, or email me and tell me which ones you’re interested in. I bought an aluminium print of one of my photos and have to say it’s a beautiful medium so why not spoil yourself… 🙂

Anyways, enough of the hard sell, I hope to have some more pics up next week, so until then take care…

Posing Robin

Hi there on yet another murky Wednesday, I hope you’re well despite the trials the weather has set for us! Thanks for stopping by, today I have a few shots of a posing robin, amongst the usual sunrise/sunset and tree photos 🙂

Please let me know your thoughts using the comments box, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Also, for larger images, just click on the pics…

I’ll start with this sunrise shot taken from last week when I stopped off on my way to work and grabbed a quick couple of shots from Beech Hill, a rather pretty little village a stone’s throw from where I live.

Before the colours kicked in

A couple of weeks ago I took a walk through Fulham Woods again and whilst I didn’t take any tree shots this time, I did grab a few photos of a posing robin, a cute little dude who seemed more than happy to sit there whilst I took shot after shot of him sitting there on a branch only a couple of metres away.

Turning away...

Following on from that little fella I grabbed a shot of another posing robin in the back garden at home…

Our back garden robin

I really want to put a bird feeder up on our grand oak tree at the bottom of our garden, up until this point I was;t too fussed about bird photography but these chance encounters have piqued my interest in the little critters. I think I should wait until our two cats are a little bit older so they wouldn’t have any inclination to climb up to the feeder for a tasty snack…

Ok, so it’d be a rare thing for me not to post up a tree shot, and here it is…the tree that I see whenever I look out of the living room window, taken one frosty morning last week…

Frosty Morning Tree

Which leads me on to the closing shot of the moon hanging above the twinkling lights of early evening Reading…

I hope you enjoyed these photos. Weather permitting I’ll have some new ones next week.

Don’t forget you can purchase any of the photos I post within these blog pages, just let me know which ones you’re interested in and what format (normal print, canvas, aluminium etc) and which size and I’ll be more than happy to let you know the cost 🙂

I also have a page on Viewbug where there are various competitions etc, why not head on over and take a look 🙂

Thanks,

Mart

Sulham Woods

Hi there and thanks for dropping by. It’s Wednesday once more which means more photos. Unusually for me this week I have photos from one place, and one place only… Sulham Woods.

My Mrs was shown this place by friends of ours and she took me here a couple of weekends ago and I love the place. This time of year it was so vibrant, with leaves of beautiful oranges and reds…well I’ll let the photos do the talking.

If anyone’s interested, I googled Sulham and came across this. Seems the place dates back to the 11th century

It’s only a 10 minute drive from where I live, yet another place of beauty right on the door step.

So, here we go, if you wish to see the photos in greater detail  then please click on the photos to enlarge them.

Well I’ll be back there again sometime very soon…I bet it’d look great when the frost comes, or even the snow….

Please do leave any thoughts and comments in the box below or on Facebook (depending on how you found me :)), it’d be great to see what you think, and I’ll see you next week 🙂

Another Random Selection

Hi there, once again it’s been a little while since I last posted here, apologies for that!

Unusually I’m posting this at the start of the week as I am on annual leave today and tomorrow – I would say enjoying the weather but for the second day running it’s pretty foggy out there!

For larger images please click on the photo 🙂

This time I have yet another random selection of photos seemly from a few various places. I think in this situation I best start off with the oldest photos first, and as usual I have a few flashback photos to begin with. These tow were taken last January in Shinfield and Barkham respectively;

The one below is from the start of summer when I went to Castle Combe. I’l definitely be going back here again, such a beautiful place….

These two were taken at the end of August on my trip to Wales, the top one in Aberystwyth and the one of Maya was taken on Borth Beach. Another beautiful place to spend time in. Quite possible that I’ll be back there again next year.

The next 3 were from Shinfield on separate early evenings, taken whilst on my way home from work using my little Lumix TZ70…

This one was taken during a flying visit to Upper Bucklebury. I only got the one shot as I was literally just passing through. Another of my favourite places.

Autumnal Field in Upper Bucklebury

These next few were taken a couple of weeks ago when I discovered Paices Woods, just on the edge of Aldermaston, purely by accident. There are about 8 or 9 little fishing lakes here, very picturesque…

And to finish I have a shot or two from Wasing Park, again just outside Aldermaston. It was a beautiful Autumn afternoon the day I took these and the ones at Paices Wood.

Well, once again thank you for taking time out to look at my photos. I told you it was another random selection but I hope you liked them nonetheless.

I’ll be re-jigging parts of my website int eh coming weeks and re-designing the ‘Prints for Sale’ section so please do stop by again soon.

Take care,

Mart
