Last Post of the Year

Hiya folks, I trust you’re all well and geared up for the festive period? This will be the last post of the year, unless we have some amazing weather between now and 2017! As usual it’s a miss-mash of photos new and old. And as usual you can enlarge them by clicking on the photo. Comments, thoughts etc are always welcome so please don’t forget to fill up a comment box 🙂

To start, a few bird pics taken in my back garden. We get loads of them flocking to the feeder which is great, I love to sit and watch them.

So the top 2 pics show a nuthatch and a couple of blue tits. The 3rd pic is a lesser spotted woodpecker. Actually, as I sit typing this, he’s back again making small work of the suet block.

Wokefield Common

Last Wednesday I was charged with taking the mutt for her morning walk. I decided to visit Wokefield Common, I hadn’t been there for a while what with the dark evenings and all. Stupidly I didn’t take my Canon. Really annoying as the fog was rising and the light shafts were incredible. At least I had my trusty iPhone…

It really was a shame I wasn’t prepared for the scene that awaited me here, but these aren’t too bad for a phone camera I guess.

Sunset at Wasing Park

Those of you who know me will know how much I love sunsets. And Wasing Park. After the joys of the light shafts in the morning, I took myself off to Aldermaston in the evening. I only managed a couple of shots but it was still worth it, I thought.

And, to Finish…

A few random shots;  The top one is a re-edit of a shot I took last September when I was in Southern Ireland. The fisherman set up and started beach casting so I fired off a couple of shots of him underneath the gathering clouds.

The shot above was taken looking out at the Burghfield Sailing Club lake.

These 2 above were taken on a very foggy morning along the River Kennet as I walked Maya.

Well, that’s it for this year. I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at my photos and I haven’t bored you too much with my meanderings.

As always, photos can be bought for prints, canvasses, aluminium or even key rings if you so wish! Just let me know which photos you like and we can work something out 🙂

All that is left for me to say is that I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year and I look forward to sharing more photos with you in 2017

From a couple of weeks ago

Surprise! It’s been some time since my last post so I’m bringing you some photos from a couple of weeks ago.

Time is of the essence so I’m not going to wax lyrical, just get straight to it 🙂

She’s such a beauty. She’s not the best model though. She’ll stand there for ages but point a camera at her and she decides to move.

Photos from the Archives

Yep, I was running low on inspiration so decided to raid my archives and found these.

1 – Taken last March it shows the sun setting behind the trees in Grazeley.

2 – This shot was from October 2015 and shows an Autumnal scene in Wasing Park.

3 – This was taken a couple of months ago on a trip to Uffington.

Wasing Park

And these were taken recently on another trip to Wasing Park. I find myself drawn to this place every now and again and this time I had a proper look around. I didn’t realise there was a nice little church around the back – St Nicholas Church which is predominantly 15th Century.

Wokefield Common

The last couple of photos for today were taken when out walking with Maya in Wokefield Common. I love the start of Autumn as the greens slowly turn orange. Such amazing colours!

And that’s it for this week. I hope you liked the photos I posted, taken from a couple of weeks ago. I know I keep nagging, but I’m always hoping to read your thoughts on my photos. Why not drop a couple of words into the text boxes and let me know what you think? 🙂

Any of my photos can be ordered for prints or on canvas or aluminium. Why not treat yourself or buy as a present?

Just let me know which ones you like and we can sort something out 🙂

Until next time take great care,

Another Random Selection

Hi there, once again it’s been a little while since I last posted here, apologies for that!

Unusually I’m posting this at the start of the week as I am on annual leave today and tomorrow – I would say enjoying the weather but for the second day running it’s pretty foggy out there!

For larger images please click on the photo 🙂

This time I have yet another random selection of photos seemly from a few various places. I think in this situation I best start off with the oldest photos first, and as usual I have a few flashback photos to begin with. These tow were taken last January in Shinfield and Barkham respectively;

The one below is from the start of summer when I went to Castle Combe. I’l definitely be going back here again, such a beautiful place….

These two were taken at the end of August on my trip to Wales, the top one in Aberystwyth and the one of Maya was taken on Borth Beach. Another beautiful place to spend time in. Quite possible that I’ll be back there again next year.

The next 3 were from Shinfield on separate early evenings, taken whilst on my way home from work using my little Lumix TZ70…

This one was taken during a flying visit to Upper Bucklebury. I only got the one shot as I was literally just passing through. Another of my favourite places.

Autumnal Field in Upper Bucklebury

These next few were taken a couple of weeks ago when I discovered Paices Woods, just on the edge of Aldermaston, purely by accident. There are about 8 or 9 little fishing lakes here, very picturesque…

Autumn Branches TMLR

And to finish I have a shot or two from Wasing Park, again just outside Aldermaston. It was a beautiful Autumn afternoon the day I took these and the ones at Paices Wood.

Well, once again thank you for taking time out to look at my photos. I told you it was another random selection but I hope you liked them nonetheless.

I’ll be re-jigging parts of my website int eh coming weeks and re-designing the ‘Prints for Sale’ section so please do stop by again soon.

Take care,
